4. Use of the Heidi App

Clinical notes from consultations are securely recorded using the Heidi app, a GDPR-compliant platform designed for healthcare professionals. This app allows for:

• Secure storage of consultation notes

• Creation of care plans

• Management of client records in line with professional standards

Only the Consultant has access to your records within the Heidi app, and access is password-protected.

5. How Your Information Is Used

Your information is used solely for the purpose of providing safe, effective, and personalised lactation support. This includes:

• Preparing for and conducting consultations

• Creating care plans and follow-up support

• Communicating with you regarding your care

• With your explicit consent, sharing relevant information with other healthcare professionals involved in your or your baby’s care

6. Data Storage and Retention

Your records are stored securely and retained for the legally required period (typically 8 years for adults and until the child is 25 years old), in accordance with UK healthcare recordkeeping standards.
